Wages and Our Worth

Are you still making the same pay as you did when you started your job?

Many of us work outside of the homes for many different reasons and many of us are still making the same pay as when you first started, have you wondered why?

If your employer can get away with not giving you a pay raise they will, even a penny raise adds up right? However they hire new people on at a higher wage then what you were hired on and you have been there for over 7 years, there is a problem.

Yearly work evaluation are often done, have you had one lately? Ask Why you have not had a raise or a work review, I mean if your work is so bad why do they keep you there, get what I am saying?

Find ways to improve if they say you are not doing your job, however also ask if you have not been doing your job why have you not been told this before so you can make the changes that are needed to be better at your job?

I am looking at the living wage calculator for California and I am shocked at the wages. Housing in California alone takes most of a persons paycheck since in citrus heights for example a 1 bedroom apt runs from 1100.00 to 1400.00 per month. Wages should cover us to live without having to have 3 to 4 jobs. I know a couple who each have 4 jobs that they work just to cover the bare necessities in life, we should not have not live this way..

https://livingwage.mit.edu/states/06 take a look for the state that you live in.

Companies are making millions and their employees are barely living and some are homeless. We should not be living in poverty even though half of the population of the United States do live in poverty.

This chart shows percentages and also says the poverty level went down from 2019, I do agree since most of those people most likely died from starvation or some other illness due to not being able to take care of themselves.

We have families living together in 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom apartments, families of 4 each so that makes12 people living in one apartment in order to make ends meet. We must make a change.

Most will say “get a better job, go back to school” umm that is all good in words but to go back to school you have to have a income still to support your family until you complete school. Then you complete school and can’t find a job in the career path you went with so you are right back to square one.

People should not have not live in poverty to live in the United State Of America, however the American Dream had been dead for years.

Rents keeps rising and wages remain the same, what is wrong with this picture?

Side hustles and home based businesses is what everyone needs to start looking into and start working for yourself instead of making others rich make yourself rich. Put the hard work and effort into something that is yours. Take that chance, you can keep your job until you get your feet off the ground, however start DOING YOU, Make it happen for you and your family.

My wish is for every one to live comfortable and not worry about where their next meal is coming from or how will they pay the rent.

Make your worth and if you have to do that by starting your own business, DO IT!
